The Little Carpathians Wine Region
In the past the wines from this region were served on the royal tables and competed with the best European wines. This wine region is well known for its quick and gentle processing of white grape varieties. Grapes have high level of sugar, wines are full, with a strong taste, with pleasant acids and are also suitable for archiving. This terroir is very popular especially for his harmonious combination of mountains, sunshine and nutritious soil, which creates refreshing and light wines.
By developing our vineyards we contribute to the beautiful viticulture sceneries of Modra. In these vineyards we harvest grapes of traditional varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Rhine Riesling, Walnut Riesling, Silvian Greens, Blue Frankish or Pinot Noir.
We collect these varieties in historical vineyards such as Stará Hora, Kalvária, Kalvária – Kramáre, Kalvária – Skalky, Fertále, Hliny, Holombek, or Trávniky.
This vineyard with atypical name “Sahara” named branded wine in our portfolio. Gives us a taste of full and fresh wines vinified from varieties such as Dornfelder, Neronet or Blue Frankish.
The South Slovak Wine Region
It is situated in the hottest localities of the Danubian Lowland with slightly undulating terrain and at the foot of low hills. We divide it into two sub-areas which have different natural conditions. We grow vines in its western (Nebojsa, Hubice) and also eastern part (Strekov). Therefore, we are able to exploit the natural potential of these areas and turn it into a unique experience.
Strekov vineyards owe their extraordinary popularity to the nearby Parisian swamp, which is the largest cane swamp in Slovakia. An important milestone in the history of wine-growing in Strekov, was the arrival of teacher Michal Štetka from Modra. He planted in this region the first larger vineyard. Our vineyard called Pántyú, from which we make our wines, is located on the same place where Michal Štetka once planted his vineyards.
Galanta – Nebojsa
The vineyards in Nebojsa are one of our largest vineyards. In the area of more than 100 hectares we grow a wide variety of varieties as Blue Frankish and Alibernet. Enjoy the panorama of our vineyards at the roundabout on the road to Galanta from R1. There are vineyards called Mlynská cesta, Brakoň, Za Bibicou or Pri jazere.
On the way from Senec to Šamorín you will find our vineyards in Hubice. They cover an area of more than 150 hectares. We use the natural potential of this area especially in the cultivation of blue varieties such as Blue Frankish, Cabernet Sauvignon, Alibernet and Pinot Noir. We grow here the white varieties as Rhine Riesling and Chardonnay, which we use in the production of sparkling wines.
Original Slovak grape varieties are represented by Danube and Devin.
